Members of Craven Open Door had an excellent day out at Hesketh Farm Park in July. The weather was perfect and within a few minutes of arriving we were all chatting to cows, sheep and goats!
The petting area where visitors could stroke guinea pigs was very popular. We saw all manner of different hens in their different stages of hatching, and then went on to see the ponies, donkeys and pigs.
Then, after a quick handwash and sanitise it was time for our picnic, but not before we had a photo opportunity on one of the tractors.
It wouldn’t be a proper day out without an ice cream – so after lunch those who wanted one went to the farm shop.
After a stroll into the field to see more goats and sheep it was time to come back home having had a very enjoyable day out on the farm!
