Visit to Ermysted's Grammar School

Members enjoyed a short trip to Ermysted's at the beginning of May where we worked with pupils and baked some delicious cheese scones. The food room was perfectly prepared by the staff and we each had our own workstation complete with ingredients and equipment.

The pupils, all lovers of baking, helped us mix the dough, roll it and finally cut it into shape. 15-20 minutes later the room was full of the delicious aroma of baking and we all had 3-4 scones to take away with us. The temptation to eat them as they cooled  was enormous! But we resisted! Thank you to pupils and staff at Ermysted's Grammar School for their help.
